- Brown processing units must be preparing about 500 kgs of meat per day or more than that or about 150 MT per annum,
Cold storages of about 10,000 MT capacity, marketers, suppliers, distributors, retailers and restaurants having the turnover of more than 20 crore Rs, are also eligible for a central license.
Documents Required for Obtaining Central FSSAI License
- List of the food categories planned for manufacturing,
- A passport sized photo, ID, and address proof,
- Form B of the FSSAI,
- Name and list of the equipment with its power consumption detail, registration number, and capacity,
- NOC & copy of the license for the manufacturer,
- NOC from the municipality or local body and FSSAI as well,
- IEC Code issued by DGFT,
- Source of raw material for mean and meat processing plants,
- If manufacturing packaged water then pesticides protection report of water from a recognized laboratory, whether it is drinking water, carbonated or mineral water,
- Certification by the ministry of tourism,
- FSSAI Declaration Form,
- Self-declaration of the number of vehicles,
- Detailed proof of income writing,
- Food safety management system plan or certificate,
- Ministry of Commerce,
- In the case of milk processing units and milk products, the source of milk procurement plan for the milk and location of milk collection centres,
- Nomination of a person by a company (form IX),
